EliteRecruitments, a unit of Prathameshwara Consulting Private Limited, is a specialist recruitment firm serving the financial services sector. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how and why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
Note for publication: this is a thorough starting template reflecting the firm’s practices and the requirements of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the GDPR. It is not legal advice. A qualified data protection lawyer should review it, and the registered office address, grievance officer details and effective dates must be completed, before publishing.

The information we collect
The information we collect depends on your relationship with us.
If you are a candidate, we may collect your name, contact details, curriculum vitae, work history, qualifications, current and expected remuneration, references, eligibility to work, and any other details you choose to share with us or that are relevant to a role.
If you are a client or a hiring contact, we may collect your name, job title, organisation, contact details, and the details of the roles and requirements you ask us to help with.
If you visit our website, we may collect technical information such as your device and browser type, your approximate location, the pages you view, and information collected through cookies and similar technologies, as described below.
We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and lawful for a specific purpose, for example information needed to confirm your eligibility to work.
How we collect your information
We collect information in several ways: directly from you, when you contact us, send us your details or speak with one of our consultants; from our clients, when they ask us to help with a role; from publicly available professional sources, such as professional networking sites where people make their profiles available for recruitment purposes; and through our website, by means of cookies and analytics, as described below.
How and why we use your information
We use personal information to provide our recruitment services and to run our business. In particular, we use it to understand a role and assess suitability, to contact candidates about opportunities, to present candidates to clients, to manage the hiring process through to onboarding and aftercare, to maintain our relationships with clients and candidates, to improve our website and services, and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: our legitimate interests in providing recruitment services and matching candidates with roles; the performance of a contract with you; your consent, where we ask for it, such as for certain cookies; and compliance with a legal obligation. Where India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies, we process personal data for the lawful purposes described here, on the basis of your consent or other legitimate uses permitted by the Act. You may withdraw your consent at any time, as described below.
Who we share your information with
We share personal information only as needed to provide our services and run our business. We may share candidate information with clients, with the candidate’s knowledge, for the purpose of a specific role. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate, such as technology and hosting providers, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms. We may disclose information where we are required to by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for unrelated purposes.
International transfers
EliteRecruitments is based in India and works with clients and candidates in India, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States, among other markets. This means your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer information across borders, we take steps to keep it protected and to ensure any transfer is carried out in line with applicable data protection law.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here, including to provide our services, to maintain our relationship with you, and to meet our legal obligations. For candidates, this usually means keeping your details for as long as you may be interested in opportunities through us, after which we will remove or anonymise them. You can ask us to remove your information at any time, as described below.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we limit access to those who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately if a problem arises.
Your rights
Depending on where you are and the law that applies, you have rights over your personal information. These may include the right to access the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or update it, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict certain uses, to withdraw consent where we rely on it, and to complain to the relevant data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below, and we will respond in line with the applicable law.
