Global Capability Centres
Build your global capability centre in India, team by team
We help international insurers, reinsurers, banks, consultancies and financial services firms build and scale their global capability centres in India, from the first senior hire to a full specialist team across actuarial, risk, analytics, audit, finance and technology. We do not fill single roles in isolation. We help you build a capability that works together.
How does EliteRecruitments help build a global capability centre in India?
EliteRecruitments is a specialist financial services recruitment firm that helps international organisations build and scale global capability centres in India. Since 2014 we have placed actuarial, risk, analytics, data, audit, finance and technology specialists into capability centres, from the senior anchor hires who stand up a function to the wider teams beneath them. Because we recruit across all of these disciplines together rather than as separate desks, we can staff a whole capability, including the blended roles that sit between functions, across India’s major centres and through corridors from the UAE, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Why India
The home of the global capability centre
India has become the leading destination in the world for global capability centres, and financial services is at the centre of that shift. What began as back office and support work has grown into something far more strategic. Today international insurers, banks and consultancies run enterprise data platforms, actuarial and risk modelling, analytics and AI, audit and controls, and core finance from their India centres, not simply execution work but the capability that decides how the wider organisation operates. Reported industry estimates put India well ahead of any other market for the number and scale of these centres, and the financial services share of them continues to grow. What has shifted is the depth of senior talent: India is now where much of the experienced specialist band sits, the professionals with roughly eight to fifteen years behind them who can both build a function and run it.
The reason is talent. India has deep, growing pools of actuaries, risk professionals, data scientists, engineers, auditors and finance specialists, at a scale and cost that is difficult to match elsewhere. The challenge is not whether the talent exists. It is identifying the strongest people, assessing them properly, and assembling them into a function that works, in a market where these experienced specialists are in the highest demand. That is exactly the gap a specialist recruiter is built to close.
It is also why a capability centre is rarely built by hiring one role at a time. The strongest centres are built deliberately: the right leaders first, then the specialists around them, then scale, with each hire chosen to fit the capability rather than just the job description. Getting that order right, and getting the early hires right, is what separates a centre that performs from one that struggles.
What we build
The specialist functions we help you build
A financial services capability centre is not a single team. It is a set of connected specialist functions, and we recruit across all of them, as one connected capability rather than six separate searches.
Actuarial teams
Pricing, reserving, valuation, capital, IFRS 17 and actuarial leadership for life, general and health insurers and reinsurers.
Actuarial practiceRisk teams
Credit, market, operational, enterprise, model and technology risk, alongside compliance and financial crime.
Risk and Financial AdvisoryAnalytics, data and AI teams
Data scientists, machine learning and data engineers, analytics and BI specialists, analytics leaders and the AI governance roles around them.
Analytics practiceAudit and controls teams
Internal audit, IT audit, internal controls, SOX and compliance, the assurance functions a centre needs as it grows.
Audit practiceFinance and advisory teams
Financial reporting, modelling and transformation, and the finance roles a capability centre runs day to day.
Finance and advisoryTechnology teams
Cloud, data platform and engineering roles that sit alongside the data and analytics build and make it work in production.
Data Engineering and CloudEach of these has its own specialist page, with the roles and sub disciplines we recruit. What matters most for a capability centre is that we recruit them as a connected capability, not as six separate searches handled by six unconnected desks.
How we build it
A capability centre is a sequence, not a list of vacancies
We help you build it in the order that actually works, mapping the market properly at each stage and assessing on genuine capability rather than keywords.
Anchor and leadership hires
The people who will set up a function, make the early decisions and attract others to join. In a centre you are building for the long term, the cost of the wrong early hire is high, so this is where we hold the bar highest.
The specialists around them
Recruited to fit the team the leaders are building, not chosen in isolation. Each hire is selected for how it strengthens the capability as a whole.
Scale into full shape
As the centre grows, we keep choosing people who fit the capability and are likely to stay, because a centre only works if its teams hold together over years.
This is the work our Capability Build Recruitment service is built for. We work as an extension of your talent function, owning part or all of the build, and we stay close through interviews, offers, onboarding and aftercare. The result shows in the numbers we hold to across all our work: an 80 per cent screening rate, an 85 per cent joining rate, and fewer than fifteen fees returned since 2014 because a placement left early. The blended advantage
Why a single discipline recruiter cannot build a whole capability
The hardest roles in a modern capability centre are rarely one dimensional. A risk leader may need analytics capability and regulatory knowledge together. An analytics hire often sits between data, technology and the business. An actuarial modelling role can need pricing, capital and data skill at once. These blended roles, the ones that fall between traditional functions, are exactly where a single discipline recruiter struggles, because they only see one side of the brief.
Because we recruit across actuarial, risk, analytics, audit, finance and technology together, rather than as separate silos, we can fill the briefs that sit between them, and we can assemble a capability where the parts genuinely fit. That is the difference between hiring a set of individuals and building a function that works.
By industry
Capability centres, by industry
The shape of a capability centre depends on the business it serves. For insurers and reinsurers, the centre is often anchored in actuarial, risk and analytics. For banks, in risk, financial crime, analytics and technology. For fintechs and insurtechs, in the blended data, risk and product roles these firms hire.

Across India, and beyond
India is our home and our deepest market, and the place where most capability centre talent sits. We recruit across the major centres, and through GIFT City, India’s international financial services hub. We are active and growing in the UAE, and we work selectively with firms in the United Kingdom and the United States, often connecting their teams to talent in India through the corridors we run. Wherever your capability centre sits, the specialist talent that staffs it is increasingly in India, and that is where our depth is greatest.
Proof
Proof from our capability centre work
Building and scaling teams inside capability centres is one of the strongest areas of demand we see, and one where our combination of financial services depth and data specialism is genuinely hard to match. We have built analytics, risk and audit teams inside capability centres, from the first senior hire through the wider team, and the actuarial and finance functions that sit alongside them draw on the same networks.

Founder led
Led by a founder who knows this work first hand
EliteRecruitments was built by Shagun Gupta, who founded the firm out of actuarial and has recruited across actuarial, risk, analytics and audit, the disciplines at the centre of a financial services capability centre. She stays close to the senior and most strategic builds rather than managing them from a distance, with her deepest personal expertise in risk, analytics and audit, and actuarial as the origin and foundation she built everything else around. For an organisation building a capability centre, that means a partner whose founder understands the work in each function and how they fit together.
